All you need to know about Sunday walks!
General Info - Sunday walks.
Most of the year the Sunday walks tend to be 7-10 miles in length, but as the daylight hours get shorter in the period between mid-November and mid-February, we normally keep the walks down to a maximum of 8 miles, to ensure that we can complete them in daylight.
All Sunday walks are circular walks and are often over rugged terrain. They are completed at a steady pace, with lots of stops, but are not suitable for people who have never undertaken similar walks before.
Each walker is expected to be suitably dressed for the weather/time of year, and have sufficient food and drink for the duration of the walk (usually up to 5 hours). There is always a decent stop for lunch, and as there is often nowhere to buy food and drink en route, people are asked to bring a packed lunch with them.
