General Info - Midweek walks

Midweek daytime walks are morning walks which are usually 4-5 miles long and take 2-2.5 hours to complete not including a meal stop, if we take one. A meal stop might be arranged for walks with an early start.

They take place either in the Peak District or in Sheffield itself and all start from where we park our cars.

All walks are circular walks and are often over rugged terrain. They are completed at a steady pace, with lots of stops, but are not suitable for people who have never undertaken similar walks before.

Each walker is expected to be suitably dressed for the weather/time of year, and have sufficient food and drink for the duration of the walk (usually up to 5 hours). There is always a decent stop for lunch, and as there is often nowhere to buy food and drink en route, people are asked to bring a packed lunch with them.
