Starting from Hartington the route takes us past the remains of Pilsbury Castle on our way to the halfway point at Crowdecote where we cross the River Dove into Staffordshire to make our return back to the start. Bamford and Hathersage Circular - Sunday 27th November
A fairly low-level 7 mile walk which should take around 4 hours to complete. This is an ideal walk for winter, with there being only 240 metres of incline, but there could be quite a bit of mud, as a good part of it is along the banks of the River Derwent.

Meet in the car park at Hathersage Swimming, Oddfellows Road, Hathersage S32 …

Linacre Woods Sunday 30th October.

This is an interesting 8.5 mile walk in an unspoilt area which should take us roughly 4.5 hours to complete. The walk takes us from Linacre Woods, through the woods, to the lovely hamlet of Milthorpe from where we make our way back to the start via Oxton Rake. Expect grassy paths and tracks, bridleways, woodland and undulating hills on this fairly easy walk.
