Wharncliffe Crags - Sunday 24th January

Post  Steve M on Mon Jan 18, 2016 7:49 pm

Wharncliffe Crags - Sunday 24th January
A steady 9 mile walk which has just one gradual climb and a small, steep hill at the end. There are some great views of the Upper Don Valley and beyond from the top of the Crags, and sections of Greno Woods are also included in the walk. The walk should take around 4 and a half hours to complete on mostly good tracks and paths although there is one section which is fairly rocky.

Details:-
Meet outside The Old Harrow, Main Street Grenoside, S35 8PP at 10.0 for a 10.15 start. Plenty of on-street parking close by, please do not park in the pub car park.

I didn't know anything about this. I've never actually seen the range up there, just heard 'em shooting, so the answer is no, we won't be anywhere near!
