We're picking Kay up, so can pick you up en route as well, if you all don't mind squashing up! Obviously if someone else comes along offering lifts we'll look at it again, but for now we're happy to have you along!

Is it ok if we pick you up at the bottom of your road at about 9.10? Then collect Natalia at Broomhill crossroads a couple of minutes later.

Thank you Steve. Should I be at the Yorkshire Bank corner or at the Fox & Duck?

Hi Andrea

It would be cool if you could give a lift to Kay and Natalia, then there would be 3 people in your car and 3 in ours. Do you want to come to ours for 8.55 and then follow us? Might be easier that way.

Steve, thank you, where should I wait - at the Yorkshire Bank corner or at the Fox & Duck side of the road?

I don't know where the Yorkshire Bank is, or the Fox and Duck!

We'll be coming from Crookes and heading towards the Botanical Gardens, so the corner just across Glossop Road where we've picked you up before is where I had in mind. Hope this makes sense.

Pottery Cottage murders, Beeley Moor

Post  Steve M on Tue May 13, 2014 12:18 am

I mentioned on this walk that I thought that a family had been murdered on Beeley Moor (as we were crossing it!) many years ago although I couldn't remember what happened, I thought that it involved a lady called Gill Moran, a house called Pottery Cottage, and that it had happened on Beeley Moor. I also thought that it involved a wedding. Well I was wrong about the wedding, but right about the other things, and the story of what happened is unbelievable.

Below is a link to the story which has to be copied and pasted if anyone wants to read it. Be warned though, it's really chilling and graphic too!
