Thank you Roger! The fact that you don't remember it just proves my point. Have a wonderful day!

I so regret not wearing my shorts today  Sad

What a wonderful walk that was, its always nice to walk in the sunshine on a spring day and see new born lambs in the field.

The pub stop at dinner was really nice, and well done to Mark for winning the draw this week  Smile

What a lovely church that was at Stoney Middleton , so interesting to know that a woman designed it in the 15th century in thanks for the safe return of her husband from Agincourt in1415.

Some lovely places on the walk today, with something of interest appearing every few minutes it seemed. I was fascinated by the old mine works up Coombs Dale, which is a lovely little dale in itself, and also by the unbelievable view at the top of Wardlow, Foolow, Eyam, Bretton and all places in between.

Eyam is always worth a visit, and Stoney M is a fascinating village with its unusual church and 'Roman' Baths too.

To round a great day off, the absence of any great amount of mud was a real bonus. I think we've had enough of that lot this winter to last a lifetime!

One of those absolutely perfect walks, so perfect they are more than perfect - company, history, weather, scenery, pancakes.... Did I already mention company? Thank you - and a special 'thank you' to Neil for enlightening me on the history of this special place.

It was a lovely days walking on Sunday, great to walk round my old homestead and revisit many of the places I used to play at as a kid. Great weather, lovely company, plenty of laughs, catching up with a few faces I haven't seen for a while, topped of with Sunday lunch at the old home, before taking Riley (parent's dog) for a wander round the wood, all made for a great day. Your welcome for the bit of history about Eyam Natalia.
