Alport - Sunday 20th April
A nine mile walk in the White Peak which no great inclines, and which should take 4 and 3/4 hours to complete. This walk includes some stunning sights amongst which are the picturesque villages of Alport, Over Haddon and Sheldon; the romantic ruins of Magpie Mine, and the beautiful Lathkilldale.

Meet in Alport village, postcode DE45 1LG at 10.0 for 10.15 start.

Yet another beautiful Derbyshire Dale, Lathkill Dale, proceeded by 3 lovely villages Alport, Over Haddon and Sheldon. Not many people about was a bonus as was the lovely ice cram at the end.  Very Happy .

Glad you had a nice Ice Cram Steve.....I had a lovely Ice Cream  Smile 

It was a really nice walk, even though the weather was quite cold and misty at the start.

Lathkill Dale is always a wonderful place to walk especially with a great group of friends.
