Ughill Moor and Strines - Friday 10th January

Post  Steve M on Mon Dec 23, 2013 3:36 am

Ughill Moor and Strines - Friday 10th January
An easy and rewarding 5 mile walk taking in high moors, Boots Folly and 2 reservoirs. Expect the walk to take up to 3 hours to complete as there is lots to see along the way.

Details
Meet on a track which heads off to the right in a northerly direction above Moscar Heights. Coming from Sheffield, this turn off is about 100 yards after Moscar Edge kennels (S6 6GL) on the right. The track is then half way up the hill. If you pass the old Methodist church you've gone too far! Meeting time is 10.00 as usual.

Am hoping to make this one. Just got to wait for a builder to arrive first so if I'm not there don't wait for me.
Happy New Year to you all. Andrea

What a fantastic walk! Definitely going to repeat it in the summer so we can see all the rhododendrons in full bloom at Sugworth.
