Break a leg Deb's

Post  Mark B on Thu Oct 31, 2013 6:24 am

Just to let everyone know Debbie fell/tripped/pushed not sure which up a mountain on holiday in Marrakesh, she had to be transported down the mountain by mule.
She only found out today she had been walking around for the last 5 days with a broken tibia. Deb's txt us today to say she was in plaster waiting for swelling to go down then they will possibly operate.

The mule has made a full recovery.

Just beat me to it Mark with this thread!

What bad luck some of our ladies are having with their health. Between Debbie, Linda and Sheila we've got a few crocks now in our Walking For Health group!

And that poor mule. I wonder if they had to retire it off?

All joking aside, I hope you get it sorted soon Debbie and that your recovery is as swift and painless as possible. console

Hi and thanks for that guys! If I had taken my proper walking boots I may not have done the splits in the Atlas Mountains! Hopefully I won't need any op but early days. The mule was a star and features on many of my holiday snaps! He was better than a 4 x 4 car!
See you all soon I hope. dance

So sorry to hear about your fall in the Atlas Mountains Crying or Very sad  hope you'll soon be up and running again and you don't have to go though an operation!! Looking forward to the photos of you being transported down the mountain by mule!! At least you'll have plenty of time to sort your photos out whilst resting your leg!!
Let me know if I can do anything to help as I have plenty of time.

Get Better Soon we miss you out walking.

Love Cherry

Thank you Cherry, that's lovely of you.

Well, I've been back to hospital today and yay! No operation required so all that laying around worked as the 2 halves of the break now meet up. The cast comes off on 6/12 just in time for me to think about Xmas shopping , oh joy.

Hope to get to AM gig and do some chair dancing!

Hi everyone , hope you all had a great Christmas!
Well it's 2 months and 6 days since Mule Rescue and over the last 2 days I have done 2 three mile walks in County Durham! The 2nd one was very muddy but at least it's a start!
Wishing everyone a very happy and accident free New Year!
