Flaming Ceiladh!

Post  Steve M on Sun Sep 30, 2012 7:05 pm

Congrats and well done to everybody who have done their first post on this thread. Once you've done that, you're away!

Now the bad news. Having problems putting one foot in front of the other nevermind walking 9 miles, so am turning up and "doing a bit" and then coming home. She doesn't know it yet, but Anne D will be leading the walk! It was that last dance last night at the Ceiladh that did it Sad

Home early!

Post  Steve M on Mon Oct 01, 2012 2:35 am

Glad we came today, and by sticking to the lower levels at least we managed about 6 miles or so, 1/2 with the group, 1/2 on our own. And the rain kept off too for both Andrea and me, and the 20 others who we waved ta-ra to at Grindleford, which was a bonus. sunny

I don't know whether everyone else called in at the Bridge Inn at Calver Bridge, but we found the pub very welcoming, especially when they brought me a tea tray and not just a little cup of tea Very Happy .

Now for some more tea and sympathy Wink

It was nice to do half the walk today instead of sitting at home and watching rubbish tv.
Great to see Neil again Very Happy

Anne started with 22, ended with 20 is this becoming a record 2 droping out on her walks Laughing Enjoyable 9 mile walk which we finished with out getting wet. Bridge inn would'nt let us in due to closing so went to the Eyre Arms at Calver. Hope your leg feels better soon Steve.
